Couldn't disagree more with your analysis for a few reasons:
1) I believe the R&D spend is captures in the staff cost - and that's reflected in the op CF. So this fundamentally changes your point about spending on R&D to maintain a competitive edge.
2) If you can chop and change items from one category to another in the CF statement, you can change the fundamentals for just about any other company.
3) Of course you are welcomed to come to your own conclusion about BCC's CF, but the accounts do fit the technical (and accounting) definition of being op CF positive.
