I bought one to try out as I was planning a road trip around Oz but but never activated it as I ended up leaving the country so I gave it to my parents who bought an RV and are about to do the grey nomad thing. Even if the non-activation rate is as high as 1 in 5 there’s still good high margin/recurring revenue to come from the other 4. Regardless, that’s another ~$4.3m sale right now (12.5k * $345), even if it’s marginal there’s still upfront profit in it with cream to come.
I’m still buying...getting to be an irresponsibly large proportion of my portfolio but it’s better than any other opportunity I am seeing right now
