Significantly TransCanada are participating directly in these discussions with potential BH partners, as TCP will be underutilized from 2020. As GV highlighted, gone are the days or mega projects and for him Shell's recent decision to postpone FID on Kitimat was significant.

Meantime MLNG's latest project status reports states:

Magnolia LNG is awaiting the last final federal authorization, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Department of Army (Section 404/10) permit. On June 28, 2016, Magnolia LNG submitted the Final Beneficial Use of Dredged Material Plan (BUDM) to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District (COE), Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (LDNR), and the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). On June 30, 2016, Magnolia LNG submitted the BUDM to the FERC in compliance with Condition No. 18 of the April 15 Order. The COE was awaiting the final BUDM to make the Section 404/10 permit fully complete and Magnolia LNG anticipates that the COE will now issue the Section 404/10 permit in August 2016. Magnolia LNG has received all other required federal authorizations related to the Liquefaction Project.

Magnolia LNG also submitted a Notice of Intent (NOI) to discharge storm water associated with construction activity greater than five (5) acres to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) Water Permits Division. Magnolia LNG’s NOI was accepted by LDEQ on June 1, 2016 and on June 28, 2016 LDEQ issued Magnolia LNG the storm water discharge permit authorization letter.

On July 20, 2016, Magnolia LNG submitted to the FERC responses to the request for additional information regarding Magnolia’s Implementation Plan materials.

The article on India is great news. Can't see why nations burning coal for electricity generation can't take on a leaf out of India's book and start to suck in more gas - its cheap, abundant, clean and can be used for electricity generation using a much simpler plant than a coal fired plant.

Likely the start of a favourable trend which will hoover up the excess gas.
