His intention may be to create a lithium supply hub in the area near Mt Marion Mine. MIN already hold about 10% of GL1 with its nearby Manna project, so potentially acquiring ESS may be further consolidating the area.
Its been speculated on ESS threads for quite some time that MIN may make a counter offer to existing offer for ESS so bit surprised that you think it’s came out of nowhere, though obviously not that material for MIN as opposed to very material for ESS.
Anyway just my thoughts on what the great minds of MIN may be up to, hope they make an offer and not just wanting to block existing offer.
