The MedAdvisor App is in lots of API group pharmacies like Priceline Pharmacy. MedAdvisor has promoted its product independently to pharmacy owners achieving very good penetration by itself without any marketing assistance from the wholesalers. Of course EBOS recognised its value and subscribed taking a sizeable share holding position and had MDR develop a Terry White badged version.

It is one thing developing the app but that is only the first small step. The hardest thing is getting pharmacies to adopt it and pay for it, have patients install it and use it and monetising it with links to other services. Extending its reach, continuing R&D, maintaining the database functionality of millions of secure patient records requires a lot of ongoing effort and expanse. The MedAdvisor platform is quite a complex and innovative product worth a lot in terms of intellectual property.

Talking about how quick and how little it costs to develop a similar app is pretty irrelevant to the whole story of what it takes to establish an app that will actually be successful in the market place. CWH's IT people of course developed an in house version for their pharmacies but it is pretty basic compared with MedAdvisor.
