xerxer - ARG was my first LIC purchase back in the 80's. I think ARG, which is very well managed ( and will only disappear if Australia's lights go out ) together with AFI, AUI and DUI, I think should be the basis of any Investment portfolio. With the franking credits available, over the years ARG has been as good as my Balanced Super ( now pension phase), and my LIC's now command 60% of my portfolio. Riv
