My understanding of Wilsons (WAM) is that they prefer takeovers via scrip into their LIC funds.
As it grows the investor base and FUM.
Though - as others have said, this doesn't really work well for the WAR strategy (of holding assets at a discount to NTA, or 'buying $1 for 80c). So holding onto a stake in WGB doesn't make sense longer term. (most of Wilson's fund are premium to NTA).
I'd like to see the next monthly report put a listing of holdings and their current discounts to NAV.... as there look to be a few holdings out their that don't quite fit the bill.
