Based on the historical short positions on Myer as a %, total stock outstanding in short positions have hovered between 7%-16% for the past 3 years. All this talk about short positions isn’t exactly news or should take anyone by surprise..
should management execute on the strategy outlined in the Annual report, there may be upside to the SP which would be compounded by short sellers having to buy to cover their short positions. Just look at what happened to Tesla SP in the US when short sellers had to buy to cover short positions..
