Unless one is a trader, or wants to sell for whatever reaso, then what the market thinks is neither here nor there. The real issue for me is the long-term profitability of the company.
The firms like CLH failed because they did not amo0rtise PDLs accurately. When CCP was routinely amortising PDLs at circa 47% of collections its competitors did so at about 42%, or lower. It made them look attractive for a few years. If profits each year can, and are, fabricated in the PDL sector, you can be sure some managers will "create" profits, pay themselves fat salaries, pick up bonuses, suck new money in via capital raises, and then sell out when the market is bullish.
