    Yes that's right, it's common among traders/speculators and investors do the opposite (plainly we are a infinitesimal minority among those who trade in common stocks).
    At the core an investor looks to buy an asset at a good price for the income stream where a speculator buys because their gut or some ducking candlestick thing says the price is going up.

    The results should be obvious to anyone who lived through the GFC.
