They are investors it is that simple. Their only concern is to make more money for their investors so they will invest more with them and not somebody else. "Long term" "short term" Are just terms people use to insult people they disagree with. They have two different funds under same management company and at one time they were a big stock holder at about 16.5%. here are two noticed from the two Funds in DEC 2018
Greenscape bought shares increasing ownership to 8.23%

When these notices came out there was discussion if they were realy different funds. All you have to do is compare date and sizes of a few transactions to figure it out.

Just in case your interested here is when fidelity started buying in 2018 and they have now reduced to below 5%. For most of 2018 and 2019 institutions held more than 50% of Lynas shares. They are long term holders who reduced their share and are now increasing it. What is not to like about that? Why do you resort to name calling. Guess you have nothing better to add to discussion.
