MAN is a cashbox thus instead of having to raise funds, GLN can used it as a vehicle for their own purpose depending on their degree of control and their intention.
Now that MAN has acquired a lithium tenements, there is synergy if they know how to harness it. Why don't you ask your directors why do they want to invest in MAN?
Surely they must have a plan, perhaps control and ultimately a takeover.
