    Chris Ellison’s Mineral Resources has gatecrashed IGO and Chinese partner Tianqi’s $136 million takeover of Essentials Metals, emerging with a 19.55 per cent blocking stake in the lithium junior after a rush of buying in recent days.

    The billionaire’s mining and services group confirmed late on Friday that it was behind this week’s soaring turnover that has sent Essential’s share price to year-highs and well clear of the IGO/Tianqi cash offer price of 50¢ a share.....
