I could be terribly wrong on this!
Macquarie is controlling 6.21% of AGL (it seems they either purchased or borrowed), and they’re also underwriting AGL dividend. Depending on take up in DRP, the shares that will be issued to Macquarie can take their control to well north of 10%. If this is the case, what is their intention? What do they want to do? The AGM will be this month. Is this an effort to pressure the board on decarbonisation or a potential transaction?
