When CAI set up the hedge with Macquarie before the mine operation quite a few years ago, they were forecasting an AISC of $1290 which at the time seemed a safe bet to have a hedge of $2370, but inflation hit the mining industry and the AISC of all miners has rocketed, as example: ALK's AISC is now $2200 and 2 years ago was $1598.
