But many other Lithium companies aren’t penny stocks. KDR, PLS. I don’t recall see this level of manipulation as seen at GXY.

“..Retail know a small cap or micro cap can quadruple or do 20 baggers their value much easier than blue chip.”

But you discount the risk which retail is undertaking to make the quad or 20 baggers. You also can’t count the number of penny stocks which haven’t made a bag, or have even gone anywhere. You won’t have heard of them because they just don’t get spoken about. You make it sound like every penny stock is going to be a 20 bagger which we know from experience, this isn’t the case. They are penny stocks for a reason, the risk of captial loss is higher.

You say you’ve only made real money from penny stocks. Good for you. But not everyone has the same risk appetite for betting big on large risks.

I would much rather invest a large sum into a stable sound company that, sure won’t be 20 bags, but in the same vain, isn’t going under any time soon. I m not into spinning the wheel of fortune with all of my life savings on a penny stock that could go 20x but realistically languishes as a penny stock. 3 bags with a considerable position over a few years is more me, rather than small holdings over 20 penny stocks hoping one hits the jackpot. It would probably be cheaper to go to the casino or “pay a tax on hope”, i.e a lotto ticket, every week.

But everyone is different. And whatever floats your boat.

I really don’t care that the funds are shorting GXY, it just shows that GXY is worth their time and considerable resources to manipulate in the first place. Hence there is probably long term stable value here. The funds are not here to lose money. And it probably is a good thing retail has less influence over the price of GXY, as retail is notoriously fickle.
I believe in adjusting my timing and taking advantage of the gyrations of the funds to improve my position. I might be a parasite, but I m a rich parasite..

I m not here to comfort or encourage anyone to hold GXY. Everyone has to make their own decision.

Smart retail maybe on the prowl for the next GXY, but more often than not, “smart retail” gets burnt when they get it wrong. Rare earths, CFU to name a few comes to mind.
