I don't know how MS could have misread it to the extent they have. They have made a motsa with their short selling and in the process have absolutely burnt a lot of us value investors. The beauty is that without sufficient buyers they are going to have to give most of it back. Bring it on!
You are right Gekko, the regulation on the ASX is very poor. Once upon a time I got burnt by Lynas and went to a lot of trouble to report what seemed to me to be clear manipulation to ASIC. Apart from a thank you letter, I never heard anything back and no-one at ASIC was willing to discus my concerns when I called them. What a joke when you think of the fees paid to ASIC by every single company in the country, and they have had one successful prosecution in 10 years.
