We would not want to see CW taking a position in Sigma if Sigma have gone back to their habit of extending interest free long term credit to CW would we? And given that Westpac have a $250 million receivables finance deal with Sigma could it transpire that Sigma could be financing its own takeover in theory only of course? How much does CW owe SIG now I wonder? Just asking questions without implying anything untoward of course.
I can speculate CW management might want to retire but how is an IPO possible if Coles & Woolies cannot takeover or gain a controlling interest in SIG? Could CW try to fold its business into SIG and take shares? Is that possible too?
If CW can have an IPO why can't Coles get into the Pharmacy business too?
So much is possible but with so many buyers anything is possible.
