Hi Angers , if UBS want to short SLR with the price of gold going north while the $A goes south and the cognoscenti trying to decide whether gold will go over $2000 and possiblly $5200 well that will be interesting.

In the meantime our esteemed Mr. Davis is beavering (wombatting?) around and talking about 400,000 ozs by 2014 . Now if you multiply 5200 by 400,000 and your calculator doesn't spill over well you will see what they are up against.

You can also contemplate on the actions of the RBA (Reserve Bank of Australia)selling 168 tons of Australia's gold reserves in the nineties and and try working out 168tons by the difference in todays price and what that bunch sold down our reserves for and still have not been held to account.

In the meantime I will just keep on holding SLR buying as opportunities arise and when I get tired of smirking I will suck on some lemon.
