The thing is IGO needs this acquisition as part of their transformation into a battery minerals focused miner. The Nova-Bollinger deposit will deplete in around 5 years and there hasn't been any substantial discoveries in the Fraser Range. I can't see IGO taking over other ASX listed nickel companies if this deal falls through because all their assets are best in class (Nova-Bollinger and Greenbushes) and before that Tropicana.
