I guess to play devils advocate - if management have it all under control, the group of like minded will entrust them once trust is proven - this may have a minor negative affect on future investors. If management have some ulterior motives that we know not of, then this move is probably a very important one. Do the potential risks outweigh the potential benefits? IMO probably not.
