Hi Hoots, that is where it probably gets complex but @abw311 has suggested it follows my line of thinking. Which essentially was (noting there are many different variants (for lack of a better word) of UBS mentioned on both notices) that one part of UBS probably acted as an intermediary for the borrowing of shares to the part of UBS who is the actual borrower. I have not worked for an international bank though so I can't categorically state these things. All assumptions.
Btw just in case you do think so, I am not actively trying to argue with you today, you just seem to have a different opinion to most so I am trying to piece together information to further my own (and hopefully others) understanding of what we are dealing with.
