They are a bit slow on reporting the McDonald Jones' news considering the announcement was made at the end of May.
Anyway, for those that don't have a subscription to The Australian, they are basically just saying that Simonds have refused to comment yesterday on the fact that McDonald Jones is a substantial shareholder on its register.
They suggest that it may be a good fit for its own building unit (McDonald Jones), which has operated for almost 30 years. They may be attracted to Simonds Groups Victorian footprint.
Nothing really new to report - must be a slow news day - but still good to see Simonds getting a mention in a major paper.
