Yes KBB - we all have stories which in hindsight we just shake our heads and wonder what the hell we were doing.
Your spot on about doing your own research then backing yourself. I have fallen down too many times by just following the herd. As a result once I have found, what I believe is a serious undervalued winner, I tend to go big and hang on for the ride. It has worked well for me most (but not all) the time.
As for TRS I am not holding on to the stock because I am having some sordid love affair with it. I have already sold out completely once and will not hesitate to do it again if I believe it is over valued or has run its race. In fact I took a few off the table today at $14.13 just because I was so overweight with it and it has served me well in the past to take a profit when things are going well. I did not expect to see it hit $14.00 until a day or two before the results - I now think $16.00 looks a big chance.
In my view the market has gone nuts - I guess very cheap money does that. PE ratio at over 18! with the world in a crazy place if you ask me. I just think we are heading towards a difficult time - trade wars and escalating global tensions. Imagine if Trump got in !!!!
Anyway not many sleeps to go to see how the results go. I wont sell anymore until I see the numbers for the full year.
Yell out if you think you find a stock the is very undervalued. I have to be honest I am struggling to find anything in the ASX200 that I see worth taking the plunge on. ( I am very big on SRX but have been for many years much to my delight - again a case of doing your own research and backing yourself).
Anyway all good - $15.00 on Tuesday!
