Ryder Capital are very late in declaring this substantial shareholder notice, aren't they? They bought 10.7 million shares on 25 June and certainly appear to have been substantial shareholders at that point. Yet they continued to buy shares without lodging this form until today. Shareholders who become substantial shareholders are supposed to lodge that notice within two days of it occurring.
Entrust lodged its notice 12 days ago acknowledging its sale of 10 million shares. Entrust says it sold its shares on July 2nd but Ryder tells us it bought its 10.7 million shares on 25 June.
I took the trouble to add up the purchases listed on the last page of the Ryder statement and it totals 17,127,448 shares (ignoring errors or omissions) yet Rider claim to own 41,868,800 shares. When did they buy the rest? The substantial shareholder notice should have been lodged when they exceeded 13.873 million shares.
