I wonder who he's playing brinksmanship with - Twiggy, he couldn't give a rat's ass about moving his ore for him. Twiggy can make more railing his own than he can other peoples'. His hot air about open access rail networks was just hot air to get the approvals through a compliant and bendy Carpenter government. Aurion - absolutely no way not a hope in hell no way ever will they raise the money to construct a private rail network in WA. Mrs Rinehart - "fat" chance of a deal there.
What it would take is another level of consolidation to merge an entity with 5 billion tonnes of decent gear that is capable of paying off $10 billion in debt. Not the toss that AGO has, that doesn't pay the debt off, Twiggy demonstrated that with his constantly rolling-over debt horizon.
Personally I think the analysts that rate AGO at 80 to 90 cents now are more realistic than the clowns who were saying $3 to $4 about 18-24 months ago.
