    Realestate.com.au was started in 1995 by Martin Howell and Karl Sabljak in a garage in Doncaster, Melbourne. In 1998 Macquarie Bank bought 55 per cent of the business and in October 1999 floated the company as an exit strategy.

    They spoke to both Fairfax and News, but it was Murdoch who stepped in and bought 41 per cent for $10 million.


    It would seem he knows a bit about real estate, Let's hope we are sitting on good gold real estate.
