so what makes relatively sane people behave irrationally and grit their teeth and hang on regardless?

my theory is that HC itself could be a contributing factor.

i will give you an example- anyone who buys a new, dream car only has "eyes" for their make of car. anything negative said about it is quickly brushed aside.

i know this is pretty deep so i will only give you my prognosis at "ingestible' levels, that is, dribs and drabs.
