The initial Google search shows that Intrepid Capital Management Inc is based in Florida.
Intrepid has about US$900m under management which puts it in the mid tier range of fund managers.
This investment of $18m approx is more than 1% of its FUM which is a big position for a new investment.
Let's see if they are long term or short term players. It is however an interesting development.
