I think you may be suggesting that funds partake in market manipulation by creating artificial markets, which of course is illegal...
The following article is quite informative around this type of issue and it’s cloaking as ‘market stabilisation.’ The most pertinent para being ‘it is sufficient to show that the buyer or seller set the price with the sole or dominant purpose of setting or maintaining the price at a particular level rather than in circumstances reflecting the genuine forces of supply and demand.’
ASIC is responsible for ensuring that the market is ‘fair’ for all participants; that means you and I should not be at a disadvantage compared to funds....LOL!!!
