I am surprised you did not post this.
No Rupfel I missed your Feb story that, whilst work is still ongoing on an NSS project to produce anode materials in Baotou, the man construction was finished and work had progressed to civil and to integrated pipeline works .
Thanks for the link .
I did post however, that - in the same complex, almost two years ago, NSS opened a plant I thought might be taking Lionergy spodumene (seeing as Lionergy’s own 100,000 tpa factory was delayed)
“In August 2017, Shanshan shares opened an integrated base for the production of 100,000 tons of negative polar materials per year in Baotou.” https://www.large.net/news/6pu43p6.html
As I don’t know if producing ‘negative polar materials’ requires spodumene I then cautioned people to do their own research.
Rupfel , as for the rest of your ‘Ghengis’ Shan shan post;
It seems a bit of a leap to assume- if Lionergy product is being processed at NSS Baotou plant- it is the PHD scientists who are driving the trucks and stopping for lunch in Hothoh?
Also the inference newcomers to AJM are stupid grates on me a bit.
As does the inference Mr Thick, the Australian head of Tianqi is a turd ( the image was actually of him at a barbecue I believe )
But, as said, thanks for the update on the new Baotou plant;
As per your useful link:
“Construction work on the main part of a project to produce anode material for lithium ion batteries has been completed recently in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to Baotou Daily.
At present, civil construction and integrated pipeline construction are underway.
The project, funded by Inner Mongolia Shanshan Technology Co with 1.2 billion yuan ($179 million) invested, is to produce 100,000 tons of lithium ion battery anode material annually upon completion.
....After the project is completed and put into production, it is estimated that the annual output value will be 1 billion yuan, the annual tax payment will be 90 million yuan, and 600 job vacancies will be created”
Also re Lionergy ; Lionergy appears to have sold it’s shareholding in Altura, (at usefully higher prices) and may, as you say, be ‘yesterday’s story’.
However until shareholders are notified to the contrary, it is still an important 100,000 tpa five year customer who gave early financial support to Altura at a crucial time.
Finally Rupfel, many thanks for YOUR supposition there is a fur-clad convoy of ex-tailor PHD’d truckies doing wheelies in their rigs as they drive loads of chemicals between Baotou and Chahar ...
Do you think we could we add gizzards, clenched in their filed teeth and streaming out the windows to make the image even more colourful?
Why are they driving trucks in the first place if they have a PHD?
And are they working for Lionergy or Ningbo Shanshan?
This is who they are possibly listening to on their radios..
And, for anyone genuinely worried about filed teeth;this is an excerpt from what Business News had to say about the transaction and identity of the new holder last Tuesday:
