Correct, they are only in a JV with Burwill on the 1 line (Carbonate).
The second line (Hydroxide) is all Jiangte, which is where the JV with Alita is proposed. No Burwill in the picture here.
The announcement from Burwill states that no more sales activities will be forthcoming, does this mean they withdraw from the JV with Jiangte on the carbonate line? I'd think so.
@sydneyguy, to answer your concern regarding pricing and Jiangte, it appears Jiangte isn't short on cash (considering they dumped another $10M in to Alita along with GXY a short time ago). I would think it was the Burwill half of the JV that was pushing for delayed shipment, lower prices, discounts, delayed payments, etc. etc. given what they have just announced.
To be clear, Burwill have no JV in place with Jiangte for the 2nd line (Hydroxide) of the plant. This is 100% Jiangte and it is with only Jiangte that the MoU/Term Sheet is with. Why would this deal be off just because Burwill are dissolved from the Carbonate line/JV?
