I decided to buy some also ,they have a very good cash flow at current palladium prices and are committed to distributing some of the profits in the form of a quarterly special dividend .there is a mini palladium rush going on in the Sudbury area of Ontario searching for more palladium mines .South africa the main source is not reliable any more .With all the green initiatives it seems likely that palladium and platinum demand will continue .Just amazing to me at this point in time that there is no interest in Australia in developing these resources ,that should change as palladium prices and also platinum stay high for 6 months plus .If POD can find a low cost way of extracting the palladium and platinum in a small (and inexpensive )heap leach process to get cash flow started on this accessible deposit ,that would be the way to go, in many ways I would prefer them to use the money raised for that purpose than finding more reserves .They have an easily accessible mining deposit with cheap easy technology and surely they can make a profit at 0.5grams per ton of palladium ,the same for platinum ,given the current prices .One of the small miners in Sudbury got bought out and have retained a 25% free carried interest in their palladium deposit. So in my opinion POD needs to figure out a way to cheaply extract the Palladium and platinum in conjunction with Aussie government experts from their existing reserves ,establish cash flow and then explore for more reserves .No point in having a bunch more reserves if you cant afford to mine the deposit .
