Ord Minnett do cover their conservatism with a comment that most of the issues in FY19 are expected to reverse in FY20, although they prefer not to assume a complete reversal. The annualisation of the Carlisle investment underpins the bulk of the broker's expected 30% uplift to net profit in FY20.
So I think they realise that the earnings could easily be higher in FY20. We can only hope this is the case.
However, would like to see a bit more information about why Nereus has gone pear shaped.
