actually it’s not! ETF’s are market makers and as such when they buy they drive up the price due to lack of liquidity in the stock.
when they sell (sorry they call it rebalance their fund), then the price can drop more than it should do due to the lack of liquidity.
WGX experienced this once before in a very bad way! Drawing the ire of Peter Cook who preferred that ETF’s weren’t on the register at all!
I tend to agree. But it’s great when they need to buy)
