All successful mines started out as risky exploration plays. Its the investors who are prepared to inject risk capital who have provided the basis on which all our major miners were built.

I think that investors who are prepared to risk their capital in exploration and in the small producers don't 'deserve a good fleecing' as you suggest, but in fact should be commended for helping to build the great mining industry which Australia relies on so heavily.

As for Matsa and its future, a little research into its tenements, drill results, performance and future plans suggests to me that this little company has developed a sound footing on which to build a profitable gold-mining operation.
