This is not a bad sign at all having Jap Inc invest. I do not believe it is a takeover in itself but they would benefit from a takeover big time.
The results from the well are also not a bad sign at all at 1700 BOPD unoptimised. Oil may rebound in 2021 after a lot of players are killed off. COVID testing will increase and show most of the population has it anyway. As soon as a COVID vaccination is found this will build some confidence and we are back in business.
Never try and pick the bottom but buy on the up.
