Definitely one of the best active quant managers in Australia IMO.
I probably wouldn't read too much into the announcement though. Their strategies, like other active quant managers would tend to be higher turnover rather than taking long-term fundamental bottom-up views on company's. It would also be difficult to draw anything by way of conclusion as to why they may have purchased. These processes utilize a combination of extremely short as well as longer-term signals so there may be any number of things driving the investment.
