People who take over companies don't wait to pay $1 or $2 for it, their offer will be less than todays price. Mum, dads and mug punters, ( the whining and complaining comes from these people ) wait for announcements and upward moves before they buy. ( God help us all if the stock happens to fall because the whining just starts again ) Serious investors know the value of the company at the outset and pay accordingly.
Investing has become a buzz word in recent years, everyone talks about investing in stocks that's why the market is so volatile.
