I had some shares in a big aussie miner. Paid around 26 a share. They started to go south and I panicked. Sold out at a smallish loss. Think it was around 5k loss. Watched it fall all the way down to 22. Patted myself on the back for what a great job i had done selling so quickly to minimize the loss. Over the next 2 years I watched those shares head north of 40. Cost me over 150k and also the dividends along the way. Today I'm not so keen to jettison shares despite a bit of short term pain.
