OK I just did some brushing up on my knowledge of the Corporations Act here in Oz and how it applies to nominees hiding the true owners.
In order to find out who the true owner of shares is ASIC (the Federal government corporate cop) or the company itself (TLG) can if necessary issue any nominee with a "trace notice" requiring the nominee to disclose the true owners of any shares they hold. This has mainly been done to ensure Foreign Investment Review Board rules are adhered to ( yes we are looking in your direction Big Bully Country to our North).
