So true - one cannot simply look at a dividend as a rate of return to be compared to bank interest if a company grows over time, as CCP has done. My CCP shares average cost is $9.445, so the dividend on that is very respectable, and over time, I expect it to become even better.

I have in a recent post (50942144) said that as far as I was concerned, anywhere between $30 and $35 could be regarded as “fair value”. Because I only buy CCP at a steep discount, I do not buy at fair value, so I do not register a “Buy” sentiment. However, because I expect CCP to improve its performance in future, I am in no hurry to sell either, so my sentiment is “Hold”. That said, I bought 3000 CCP in my own name, rather than in my SMSF, over the last twelve months as a relatively for-me-short-term trade, and I may sell these within that fair-value range range if I need the money, or I decide to use up capital losses in FY21. I'll wait for the next guidance (April or May) before I sell that 3000 parcel.
