I'm not sure if I'm missing something here, regarding any connection between the Fidelity stock acquisitions and shorting Lynas. Fidelity is primarily a large mutual fund company in the Boston area, where I work as a CPA with many Fidelity employees as my clients. I don't believe Fidelity is shorting Lynas, I suspect one or more of their mutual funds is taking a position in Lynas. Of course I don't have any inside information about the exact nature/motivation of their acquisitions, but I am interpreting this as good news. I believe a very large US mutual company has taken a strong interest in Lynas. If someone believes this has something to do with shorting Lynas, could you explain why? I don't want to come across as rude, rather I'm open to hearing anyone's logical and educated opinions.
