I have a mate at ASIC who says that each report they receive is treated on a case by case basis. They don’t have the resources to investigate in detail every report they receive from individual investors, however when they get multiple reports from individual shareholders all crying foul on the same issue they will absolutely investigate. It is just a case of allocating resources to the most urgent/serious (easy to prosecute?) grievances that impact the most market participants. So if we all file market manipulation reports with ASIC on KCN, they will be looking into this on Monday….
It shouldn’t take them very long, I can’t think of any legal explanation for the trading pattern in Appendix A of the Form 603. The only unfortunate thing is that they won’t tell us if they are investigating or not…it should be obvious though, the bots will stop.
