I am by no means an expert or even an amatuer on this subject , but that won't stop me giving an opinion. If the new substantial holders are in a position to make an offer on RAP , which I think they are and if it fits in with their business model , which according to their mission statement (Weiss) , it does ,then they are in a position to make an each way bet . Put an offer in above current offer , Pfizer match or up it , or walk away , Weiss either become a more substantial or total owner of the company or they accept Pfizer's higher offer and walk. Weiss and other recent substantial shareholders ( and all other shareholders) which may or may not have some connection either end up with a company they wish to own or walk away with an enhanced share price .
