"Better for the BB" I have heard that a couple of times now and I am calling BS on this. It would only make sense if the company continues to be genuine about the BB. Clearly the govt announcement caught management on the hop - the timing was just great, wasn't it. But unless buyback boy gets his act together a lower price may well just invite.... a lower price as amongst some the sentiment is going the other way. That doesn't mean the money is gone, but total returns require an investor to look at both income and capital gains/losses. Each to their own I guess.
