That's along the lines of my thoughts@Russ1959 ... I don't want to burst the bubble of the uninvested "experts" here who have done all this research and spreadsheeted the cr@p out of everything in their spare time, but I have a strong feeling that TLEA did their homework on this and have a much more favourable assessment of the value proposition given that they are putting their offer on the table. Logic tells me that they have plenty of fat built into their analysis and that the bottom line they are working on is based upon the high likelihood of the supply demand equilibrium remaining in favour of suppliers in the long term. Otherwise why would they be bothering trying to secure further long term supply optionality. They WANT to buy this and will do a lot better than their first offer or pay the price of losing one of the only "shovel ready" projects around to another party.
Of course other likely well researched investors have or are considering the opportunity, including Odey which has invested plenty in their belief even if it's that another party will take them out. I think those on these threads can see through the self serving analysis of parties sitting in broker offices or whatever, helping us make our investment decisions.
I repeat my earlier comment about needing a strong dose of skepticism.
regards
DF
