When Chinese Hydroxide converters controlled lithium prices, at $80k per ton, SC6 contract prices were still below $1000. Naturally DSO was cheaper for miners because of how lithium price structure was set. One of the reasons why battery costs are high is because of inefficient logistics of materials around the world to make batteries. If you live in CHINA cost of batteries would be far cheaper since most of battery production materials processed are regionally sourced. China, South Korea and Japan. Any one else will need to haul materials around the world couple of times. IMO
