For example, page 18 of this shows, in the December quarter, hedges added were 51500 oz (at A$2731) while the actual production was 56756 oz.
I believe every single contract settles below spot, which is already 10% above last quarters new hedges. When AISC is high it's about a third of our margin wasted on this 'insurance'. Never challenged at conference call, I don't understand it.
