I have had a small amount of success with lithium, (it bought my Dmax) and I still have my lithium but I do think vanadium for commercial storage of power where confinement is not a problem vanadium has a massive future. We will see these vanadium batteries the size of sea containers at every large industrial site along side a heap of wind turbines.
On another note I got my first full power bill after installing solar and battery, amount $ZERO, my air-conditioners run directly off the solar during the day, and the small bedroom one off the battery at night.
